The Rules...
The Home and Aways World Cup 2026 competition allows you to select and predict the outcome for EVERY match over the tournament. The qualifying matches are already set up; the knockout fixtures will be added as the competitions progresses.
How to Play the Game
Selections can be made at any time before a match starts, there is no cutoff date, you can select and amend each fixture up until kick off time. After kick off, that match is locked down and your selections are set.
Hint: Don't leave it until the very last minute to make your selections - if you do you run the risk of running out of time!
Group Stage
You score points by correctly predicting the outcome of each match.
You can predict a "Home Win", an "Away Win" or a "Draw".
The "Home" team is the team on the left-hand side of the fixture.
The "Away" team is the team on the right-hand side of the fixture.
Scoring.
The game is scored as follows:
Correct Home win = 1 point
Correct Away Win = 2 points
Correct Draw = 3 points
Click the relevant "Home" "Away" or "Draw" box to make your selection for each fixture.
Jokers
Each player is allocated 15 jokers over the competition to be used at any time. To use your joker click the "joker" box. You cannot select more than 15 jokers.
A correct joker doubles the score for that fixture (i.e, Home win = 2 points, Away win = 4 points, draw = 6 points)
Knockout Games.
When the competition enters the knockout stage, you can only select a Home win or an Away win. Draws are no longer applicable. If you select the draw box during the knockout stage, you will score zero points for that fixture. The winning team will be the team that goes through to the next round, whether the result is after normal time, extra time or penalties.
Length of Competition.
The competition starts on Thursday 11 June and concludes on Sunday 19 July.
Winner
The winner will be the player with the highest aggregate score at the end of the competition.
Entry Fee
It costs £20 to enter the competition.
Prize Structure
There will be prizes for the top 5 place. The size of the prize will depend on the size of the pot (i.e. number of entry fees). The prizes
will be split as follows:
1st - 50%
2nd - 20%
3rd - 15%
4th - 10%
5th - 5%
As usual, there will be 100% payout.
Updates
Each day you will receive an email showing your current score for that day plus an overall league table.
How to Register:
If you are a new player and you have joined up and made payment you will be set up with a username and password if you haven't already done this yourself via the website, or ask one of the Home and Aways Team to set you up.
Any existing players please use the password you used for the last game you played. Please note you will only be able to log in once payment has been received.
Website is www.homeandaways.co.uk
Payment to enter the game is £20, payment can be made on-line to Peter Armstrong Account Code 34339077 Sort Code 11-18-11 or pay £20 cash to any of the Committee,
Julian Smith, John Connaughton, Peter Armstrong or Mick Stewart and they will pay on-line for you.
Points
The Points scoring system is a follows
During the Qualifying stages of the game
1 Point for a Home
2 Points for an Away
3 Points for a Draw
Plus double the points of that line if your prediction is correct and the Joker is selected
During the Knockout stages of the game
1 Point for a Home
2 Points for an Away
Plus double the points for that line if your prediction is correct and the Joker is selected
NB: A maximum of 15 Jokers for the whole game, cut off times are the kickoff time of the match
